Chris told me I had to take a look at the new Schoolgirl Sampler book. She was so right! I think she thought I might be bored once we got to the end of October and the end of the Stitch Pink blocks! Schoolgirl Sampler contains patterns for 72 little blocks like those that might have been created by schoolgirls in the 1800's. The author shares patterns for both an applique centered sampler and for six other small quilts. The 4" blocks are all shown in wonderful historic style prints, but could be just as marvelous in other types of fabric (maybe even the new Handcrafted Cottons?!). Even though I have no extra minutes at the moment, I took home a new historic group just in case I found a few minutes. Before I started to stitch, my Kim Diehl prints scrap basket caught my eye... So, even though I shouldn't start something new, what do you think of my first blocks? I think you will enjoy these tiny treasures - easy to piece and quite addictive!
