2026 Snow Day Surprise kits are ready!
For those who have never heard of our Snow Day Surprise kits, a little explanation is in order. Each year our Snow Day kits are inspired by scrap style pieced quilts from the 1800’s. Like quilts from that era, the pieced units travel all the way to the edge of the 60” x 60” quilt. Your kit will contain fabric for the quilt top and binding (there are three different kit color choices!). Notice anything strange about that kit description? Maybe no mention of a pattern?! The pattern is released, sent to you via email, the first day in 2026 Quilters Corner in Finleyville, PA receives 6” or more snow - thus, it’s a surprise! If we are lucky enough to miss out on a big storm (that looks unlikely this year!), you will receive the pattern via email on February 14th. Before the pattern release the kit is just $44.95, after release it will be offered at the regular price of $97.95!
In addition, you may purchase an optional border kit that will grow your quilt to 84” x 84” (keep in mind, you will need both the regular Snow Day kit and the border kit to make the quilt this size). Please order your border kit when you place your order for your 60” x 60” quilt kit so we can coordinate the two! This year the optional border kit is $48.75
This year’s kit color choices ~
Alpine - shades of blue, turquoise, teal, and green
Tropical - reds, pinks, and oranges, with a bit of yellow
Historic - historic style prints in a range of red, gold, brown, green and blue

Pre-paid kit orders may be placed in the shop (in person or by phone) or online for in shop pickup, or to be mailed (shipping will be added if your kit is being mailed). Please note - requests will be filled in the order they are received.
